The Arch of Titus was constructed on 82 AD by the Emperor Domintain. Shortly after Emperor Titus death, his brother, Domitian become Emperor and built the arch to commentate Titus achievement. It was constructed of pentelic marble, with the attic part made of luna marble. On the east side of the arch, there is an original inscription that is still in the original place ( in suie ).

The Arch of Titus was significant to people at that time because the public wanted a way to commentate and remember Emperor Titus for his victorious achievements including the siege of Jerusalem. In the siege of Jerusalem he led the Roman Army to victory.
